Too much

This picture has nothing to do with today's blog. It's just funny :)

So... today's blog is not concerning anime, music, or movies. I just need to get something out in the open and thought I would do so via blog. That way, only a few people can fuss at me :)

Here we go. So I work in a group where my co-workers and I interact a lot. I even share a cubicle with one lady. It sort of reminds me of a rat maze because of all of the cubicles. Only those with offices can see the great outdoors. This doesn't really bother me too much. What does bother me, is the insistent complaining of said co-worker that shares the cube. Don't get me wrong. Our jobs can be frustrating and make you crazy. I understand that there are times when there is plenty of pressure and a need to blow off steam. This, however; goes above and beyond the normal need to relieve stress. Anytime anyone asks her to do anything outside of the usual simple tasks we perform she complains. "I shouldn't have to do this." "I can't get anything done." "This isn't my job." At first this didn't bother me too much. People get upset. I understand. I get upset too. You can't possibly do my type of job and not get aggrivated. This goes way beyond the norm. It happens on a daily basis. I just don't see what exactly this person thinks their job entails? I think perhaps that they want to sit at the job, do nothing, and collect a paycheck. Well wouldn't we all. This, however; is not how things work in most cases.

Perhaps it is just me. Maybe I am feeling a bit more angsty or something. I just don't think so. Am I nuts for getting aggrivated at this sort of thing? It is quite possible. It is just very vexing to see what little this person wants to do in comparison to how much really needs to be done. I suppose I shouldn't fuss. Just keep doing my job the way I do it and leave this person to themselves. This is what I have done and will continue to do. If it bothered other people I'm guessing she wouldn't be there anymore. I know this is a stupid thing to blog about, but this was just annoying the tar out of me. I guess I should remind myself that there are things that I do that annoy people too I'm sure.

So that is it for now.... Later Days

Movie Night

Yet another opportunity to enlighten the masses... lol. Okay so anyways, here we go.

Last night was movie night. A few friends and I usually get together for one night on the weekend and either go to the theatre or have a stay in movie night. Last night (mostly because nothing interesting seemed to be playing and to try and maintain our budgets) we decided to stay in and rent some movies. We ended up getting Coraline, Adventureland, and I love you man.

First off we have Coraline. I totally loved it. Yet another Tim Burton classic. Let me just start off by saying that if you don't like Tim Burton's usual style then you probably won't like Coraline either. I, however; typically love Mr. Burton's materials and thoroughly enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, I will probably purchase it at some time in the near future. The songs were great, the art is fantastic, and of course the story is well thought out and intriguing. And in true Tim Burton style it has this dark and creepy element that makes for a superbly enjoyable experience. So, if you like Tim Burton and you haven't seen it... go watch it. Now.

Now on to Adventureland. I am not going to lie I did not expect this movie to turn out the way it did. One of my friends picked this movie out, and while I did want to see it... I just wasn't expecting anything really great. I'm not much for the comedy stuff. Well let me explain that a little bit better. I am not a fan of movies like Pineapple Express, Superbad, and movies of that sort. I know I know, the good standing of my opinion has just totally been obliterated for some of you. I don't know I just can't stand that stuff. Anyways, this is kind of what I expected here. Well my friend and I both got a big shocker. It is not really anything like that. Don't get me wrong it has some funny parts in it, especially parts with the theme park owner, but otherwise it mostly focuses on the relationships of the people. It was like a different sort of romantic comedy I guess. I thought it was excellent. The storyline is interesting, the characters are well developed, and well it does have its funny parts that help to carry the story. It really is a great movie.

And finally.... I love you man. So here's the deal, we watched maybe five minutes of this movie and realized that it is not a Nicole friendly movie. So I have no opinion on it because I didn't even really watch it.

There's my spill for the time... Later Days!

The real thing

So here is my first official blog not about myself. I didn't intend to, but last night I finished up a new anime series I've been working on called Heroic Age. I was hoping I would be able to save it up for the weekend, but as per my usual... I got too excited and kept watching it all night. I just had to know what happened.

Overall I totally loved the show. It was awesome! Before I go any further, however; you should know in advance that I am a sucker for those adorable altruistic types of anime. This show is no exception. Don't get me wrong those aren't the only types that I watch, but I just can't resist the good will prevail, working on a better future, sappy sort of thing :)

Anyways, Heroic Age is really similar to Aquarion in a lot of ways. One of the key differences is that you have the characters act in opposing mannerisms. The key characters in Heroic Age are sweet and innocent where the ones in Aquarion are kind of, but much more rough around the edges.

On to the art. So the fight scenes I think are really well done. Each blow drawn with deep colors and reflective light that portrays the overal impact beautifully. The Nodos are drawn well with each having distinct details to that particular Nodos. The scenery is also very beautiful. The artists took a lot of time in making sure that even the light reflecting off of the fruits is portrayed and each tied in to the relation of the location of the light source. One of my favorites parts is a part where one of the Nodos is surrounded in this beautiful gold light that is just indescribable. It is awesome! Even the ships are done really well, even if in some cases they slack a bit. The only problem really is the occasional episode where for some reason or another there is a lapse. Also the character art can leave a little to be desired at some points.

The overall story is really well developed. In order to reach this point the characters do a lot of talking to themselves in order to work out there problems, which in effect, reveals more about the character. The character development in this anime works well with the story, even if you don't really learn too much about certain characters or where they come from even. The character development that is done, works to enhance the story arch that the authors are taking. I found myself getting very attached to each of the Nodos, especially the main character Age. He's just flippin adorable! You can't help, but love him. He is just so sweet and innocent, but at the same time... he could destroy a whole planet!

So here's the deal: if you are one of those hardcore anime fans looking for something along the lines of a Gundam or Code Geass, I don't think Heroic Age is the right thing for you. If, however; you have a soft spot for anime such as Aquarion and Guyver then this may just be the anime for you. It pulls you in and keeps you interested until the very end. Not to mention a complete and total attachment to the key characters. So that's it peoples!

Until we meet again... Later Days!

I do not know what it is I do

So here we go...

I had a friend begin one of these and she seemed to really enjoy it so I thought... why not? This will probably turn into one of those random things where you never have any idea what it is that I am talking about. That happens to me often anyway, so it won't be too much different. Anyways, I suppose I should introduce myself a bit. Not my name or anything obviously. Let's see here: I love to read. There will probably be lots of things about books on here if it works out. Currently working on a series similar to Twilight only in reverse, sort of. More elaborating on the reading thing will be done on a later date.
Next on the things that make up me would be anime. Not all anime. I'll be honest with you some anime can be really... well odd. Like this one called Shiguri Frenzy my friend purchased. Holy smokes. I quit watching it after a while. It was just too much for me. BLEH!!! Some of my favorites include Inuyasha, Full Metal Panic and Cowboy Bebop. Ed is my hero!!!
Hmmm. Of course I love music and movies. Then again, I don't know many people my age that don't. It is kind of a necessity really. Like breathing. I do not know what I would do without music. I would probably be locked away in a small hole somewhere trapped in my own mind.
Anyways, there's a little about me. Until I post again... Later Days.
